Suchitra will discuss color theory and explore how to understand seeing the color from life and mixing it on your palette. By way of a photo reference, a quick demonstration of how to see values and color will be covered where the concept of color seeing, color note comparison and mixing will be made clear. Portrait painting from life: Suchitra will demonstrate the portrait from life in the second half and cover the fundamentals in understanding how to draw the shapes, paint the essence of shapes you see, and put them in their right place leading to a resemblance of the sitter that catches the spontaneity in your brushwork. Everyday there will be discussions on art fundamentals, process and technique on the day’s demonstration painting, followed by question and answers.
